Michael grew up in Kenosha, WI and graduated from Univ. of WI-Whitewater with a B.A. in Theatre. He attended Graduate School at Univ. of Alabama and received his M.F.A. in Theatre from Southern Illinois University Carbondale where he studied design and playwriting. In 1983 he was hired by the Market House Theatre in Paducah, KY. He has served as MHT's Artistic & Managing Director from 1996 to the present. A member of the Dramatist Guild, his play Eternity was selected as a winner of the AACT NEWPLAYFEST 2018 and was published by Dramatic Publishing. He has served on several boards including as the Chair of the Community Theatre division of the Kentucky Theatre Association, on the state Arts KY board, is currently a member at large on the AACT Board.
