Matilda’s courage and cleverness save the day, her friends, and their school! Matilda is a little girl with astonishing wit, intelligence, and psychokinetic powers. She is unloved by her cruel parents, but impresses her schoolteacher, the loveable Miss Honey. As Miss Honey begins to recognize and appreciate Matilda's extraordinary personality, they must contend with the school's mean headmistress, Miss Trunchbull. The headmistress hates children and loves thinking up new punishments for those who don't abide by her rules.
