Tacoma Little Theatre (TLT) is welcoming playwrights that are old, young, BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color), LGBTQIA+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Pansexual, Transgender, Genderqueer, Queer, Intersexed, Agender, Asexual), or differently abled, who have original scripts, the chance to workshop and have their pieces performed as a staged reading online. We are looking for all genres and age levels, ranging in length from scenes, one acts, or full length plays or musicals (no longer than two hours). We hope for this to be a weekly or bi-weekly event and would like to get a variety of styles! TLT will help with general organization of these readings, and help support playwrights in finding artists to take part. Until we have an end date for COVID this will be an ongoing project for writers in our area, so send in your scripts whenever they are ready! Each script will have one rehearsal and then will perform in a Zoom staged reading setting on a Thursday or Saturday evening.
