This week join two local artists as they answer your questions about the Performing Arts and being members of our great Pacific Northwest community.
STEVE TARRY
DIRECTOR/ACTOR
Turning 75 in a few months, Steve Tarry is clearly on the downside of his acting/directing career which began when he was seven and has continued to the present. He has performed in a variety of school and community theatres, and memorable roles at TLT include Higgins in "My Fair Lady," Dowd in "Harvey," the president in "Frost/Nixon," and Franklin in "1776." His directing credits include "Arcadia," "The Odd Couple," "Blithe Spirit," "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest," "Godspell," and "Once Upon a Mattress."
JED SLAUGHTER
ACTOR
Jed was bitten by the theatre bug as a high school freshman and never looked back. He spent his summers throughout college on stage with Leavenworth Summer Theater, where he was also able to put his music education degree to use by vocal directing a number of shows. Jed moved to Tacoma in 2005 and immediately jumped into the local theatre scene with TLT’s production of “Annie Get Your Gun.” With about 40 full productions plus over a dozen readings and concert stagings on his resume, some of Jed’s favorite roles include Howie in “Rabbit Hole,” File in “The Rainmaker,” and Herbie in “Gypsy.”
