Tacoma Little Theatre is holding auditions for its production of William Shakespeare’s MACBETH, directed and adapted by pug Bujeaud.

Auditions will be held Sunday, March 25th and Monday, March 26th at Tacoma Little Theatre. Audition appointments will be set between the times of 6:00pm-9:00pm on Sunday and 7:00pm-10:00pm on Monday. Callbacks will be held on Wednesday, March 28th.

Macbeth is a brave and loyal Thane to King Duncan. After hearing a prophecy that he will become king himself, Macbeth is overcome by ambition and greed. Bolstered by the prophecy and his wife’s encouragement, he kills King Duncan and takes the throne. Afterwards, Macbeth’s guilt, fear, and paranoia lead him to commit even more murders to secure his power. His confidence in the prophecies eventually leads to his downfall and he is overthrown and killed by those he has wronged.

Please prepare a Shakespearean monologue not to exceed 2 minutes.  Part of the audition may include a cold reading.  All roles are available for this production, and for this adaptation, all ethnicities encouraged to audition, and many roles will be cast gender-blind.
