Heidi Walworth-Horn’s love of the theater dates back to when she was four playing a shrub in a melodrama directed by her mother (she was too short to play the more prestigious role of “tree”). Since then she has been in numerous straight plays and musicals, including recent favorites on the TLT stage.
Heidi earned a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Music, and a Master of Arts in Teaching, from the University of Puget Sound. While at UPS, she sang with the Adelphian Concert Choir as well as the University Madrigal Singers. After college she has sung with PLU’s Choral Union and with Cora Voce. Heidi teaches English and history at Drum Intermediate School in the University Place School District.
She joined the board of Tacoma Little Theatre in 2010. Heidi also sits on the board of her family’s non-profit organization The Walworth Music Foundation which provides scholarships for private music lessons to children in Oregon’s Mid-Columbia region. She and her husband Joe have two children, Jack and Anna. She is proud to say that all the members of her family are involved in the arts, either as participants or as patrons.
