Tacoma Little Theatre's Off the Shelf program and empathos co. are excited to present Tristan Bernays’, Boudica, directed by Chevi Chung and featuring some of the Pacific Northwest’s finest actors.  This production will play Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 7:00pm.

It’s ancient Britannia; King Prasutagus has died and willed his land to the Romans. In this epic story set under the brutal occupation of Rome, Queen Boudica, a widow, mother, and warrior, returns home from living in exile with her daughters to reclaim her rightful kingdom. When Boudica boldly confronts the Roman governor, she and her daughters survive an inhumane punishment, and then she leads an uprising that devastates the colonizers. This play examines the social constructs of gender, identity, and power. Boudica commemorates Women's History Month while offering an evening of live music, sound effects, and a post-play discussion.

Valentine (she/her), Chad Carpenter (he/him), Wiley Basho Gorn (he/him), Kenya Shakoor (she/her), Aislinn Melchior (she/her), Renee Simms (she/her), and Jeff Soifer (he/him).

Tacoma Little Theatre's Off the Shelf program is back and excited to present On A Note of Triumph, written by Norman Corwin and directed by Jennifer Rivers. It features some of the Pacific Northwest’s finest actors. This production will play Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at 7:30pm.

Norman Corwin was one of the greatest writers in the English language, became known as America's "Poet Laureate of Radio". During the 1930's and '40's, he wrote and produced many of the most influential programs created for radio. On May 8, 1945, 60 million Americans tuned in to hear On A Note of Triumph, Norman Corwin's radio masterpiece marking the end of World War II in Europe. Lauded by Carl Sandburg as "one of the all-time great American poems," it was the most listened-to radio drama in U.S. history. TLT is excited to bring this Radio Play to the Off the Shelf program.

Tacoma Little Theatre's Off the Shelf program is back and excited to present Autonomous, written by Joe Fuller and directed by Pauls Macs. It features some of the Pacific Northwest’s finest actors. This production will play Thursday, October 28, 2021 at 7:30pm.

A new musical written in the Pacific Northwest, Autonomous tells the story of one man confronted by his addiction. Jimmy Toohigh wakes one morning in a hotel room surrounded by the drugs and alcohol he consumed the night before. Jimmy is about to hit rock bottom, but is visited by his Fairy Good Sponsor. She takes him on a magical journey where he can witness how his actions affect the lives of those he loves the most, empowering him to make a decision that will change the course of his life forever.
